Edwards County authorities, along with Illinois State Police raided a West Salem man's home early this morning, seizing a meth lab. 22-year-old Joseph R. Mullins (left) and 19-year-old Sarah M. Walker, (right) a Wayne County native, have been jailed on several felony charges related to the alleged manufacture of methamphetamine. Mullins was also wanted on outstanding warrants in Wabash and Edwards Counties and Breathitt County, KY. A third suspect is being questioned in connection with the drug raid.

Three Wayne County residents were arrested for meth manufacturing following a police chase Friday night in southern Wayne County. The suspects are identified as Charles E. Murphy, Jr. of Keenes (left) and newlyweds, Dustin R. and Yolanda A. (Rains) Corey of Fairfield. The Corey's were married last Monday, and arrested on meth making charges Friday night. Police seized a quantity of suspected meth and meth-related materials following the chase. No one was injured. A State Police meth response team was called to dispose of hazardous materials found inside the Corey's vehicle. The chase ended when Corey's vehicle drove down a country road covered in backwater.

Six Fairfield residents were arrested Tuesday on charges of unlawful purchase of pseudoephedrine - a key ingredient in the manufacture of Methamphetamine. Arrested were 41-year-old James A. McKinney, 37-year-old John M. McKinney, 52-year-old Joyce A. Vaughn, 39-year-old Ginger R. Sisco, 49-year-old Eddie L. McKinney and 72-year-old Patricia A. McKinney. Later, two more suspects were arrested. They are (Not pictured) Kenneth R. Lackey, 46, of Fairfield and Cynthia D. Bruce, 56, of Bluford. Bond on each of the suspects was set at $300 cash. Agencies involved in the arrests included Fairfield City Police, the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force, Illinois State Police and the Wayne County Sheriff's Department.

41-year-old Jeffrey Lynn Malcolm of Mount Carmel has been sentenced to 17 1/2 years in federal prison after admitting he conspired to distribute a highly pure form of methamphetamine known as "ice". Malcolm was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Benton, IL. In pleading guilty, Malcolm admitted he was responsible for distributing over six pounds of "ice" which he obtained from various sources in the western part of the United States. In addition to his prison time, Malcolm was ordered to pay a $500 drug assessment and serve five years supervised release.

40-year-old William H. Faberman of Salem, IL was jailed early Saturday morning after he led Wayne County Sheriff's Police on a high-speed chase that ended when he crashed his vehicle in Flora. Police spotted Faberman tampering with anhydrous ammonia tanks at the George Smith Ag Service plant near Keenes and attempted to make an arrest. Faberman jumped in his vehicle and fled through Cisne and into Flora before ramming a Wayne County Sheriff's Deputy's police cruiser. Fabmerman is in the Wayne County Jail on preliminary charges of anhydrous ammonia tampering, and aggravated fleeing and eluding.

38 year-old Lanee Pollard, aka Hendrickson of Salem faces three drug related charges. Pollard is accused of possession of meth manufacturing materials, possession of less than 15 grams of a meth precursor and possession of meth under 5 grams. She remains in custody on $25,000 bond. Another hearing is scheduled tomorrow.

22-year-old Joshua R. Vaughn of rural Fairfield (pictured left) was arrested Wednesday by Wayne County Sheriff's deputies on multiple charges related to the manufacture of methamphetamine. County Sheriff's officials say additional charges are expected as their investigation continues.

31-year-old Jaime Simpson of Bluford was sentenced Wednesday to 2 1/2 years in prison after she entered a guilty plea to a charge related to being in possession of methamphetamine.

Two Missouri men have been jailed after they allegedly tried to steal anhydrous ammonia from a farm service plant in Hamilton County south of I-64. 36-year-old Jessie J. Robinson of Festus, MO was arrested after a lengthy chase through Hamilton and White Counties, ending in Mill Shoals. The chase ended in front of the Fairfield Rural Fire Department Station in downtown Mill Shoals after a Fairfield City Police officer used Stop Sticks to disable the suspect's pickup truck. Robinson was taken into custody after being shot in the back with a Taser by a Wayne County Sheriff's Deputy. The second suspect, 36-year-old David R. Cobble of Fenton, MO was arrested after he fled on foot. Both face multiple drug charges in Hamilton County. Cobble was also wanted on a no-bond drug warrant out of St. Louis County, MO. 38-year-old Joshua D. Finatri of Mount Carmel has been sentenced to 8 years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of manufacturing methamphetamine. Finatri was arrested last year after Wabash County Sheriff's deputies went to his home with a warrant for an unrelated charge and discovered a meth lab.

Agents of the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Joint Task Force arrested three Wabash County residents Thursday on methamphetamine related charges. James Boner, 22 of Mount Carmel and Gary Wyatt, 41 of Keensburg were arrested on meth dealing charges. 19-year-old Ashley Folsom of Mount Carmel was arrested on a charge of visiting a common nuisance. The three had been staying at a Motel 6 in Evansville. Pictured above left to right are James Boner, Ashley Folsom and Gary Wyatt.

59-year-old Billy W. Starks of Fairfield has been formally charged in Wayne County Circuit Court with possession of methamphetamine and driving revoked. The meth charge stems from an incident this past Saturday, in which Starks is accused of having less than five grams of meth in his possession. Bond on both charges total $25,000. A preliminary hearing in the case is set for April 29th.

A Fairfield man is being held in the Wayne County jail under $5,000 CASH bond on charges related to the alleged manufacture of methamphetamine. 22-year-old William M. Weccele, Jr. of King Street in Fairfield has been indicted by a Wayne County Grand Jury on a single charge of unlawful participation in methamphetamine manufacturing. Weccele (pictured) was picked up on warrant Wednesday and lodged in the county jail pending a hearing for a first advisement of charges.
